BAMM stands for British, American, Medic and Mum. I am British, living in America with my wonderful family and work as a paramedic outside the home and a wife and mum at home (all the time). This is a combination of thoughts, activities, recipes and whatever else happens through this journey called life.

Potty Training
We have reached that time in Skyler's young life, where we have to retrain our little man to use the potty instead of just going in his diaper. We are currently on day 2 and I'm not sure that I will make it! Skyler has had a couple of successes with the potty but more peepees ended up on the ground outside or inside. We have resorted to treats as rewards and gentle reminders when he gets it wrong. After all, it's not his fault. Yesterday, Skyler did well running around commando - I think the freedom felt good. Today, after a good potty time after breakfast, he went and grabbed his diaper. Climbed up on the couch and waited for me to put his diaper on. He was most upset when I wouldn't do it. After giving up, he went to go and play outside - commando - when he let a little peepee slip out. He looked at me whined a little and sat on the potty - but nothing more than just some whining. Having to go potty is interrupting his play, and with the small amounts - I wonder if he is truly ready. I have 3 more days before handing over the training to daddy for a couple of days and then 3 more days before he goes back to daycare. This is proving to be a challenge for both of us. Hopefully I'll be able to post soon that he has managed to conquer this milestone.

I'm sure you will. I don't expect anyone has mastered it in 2 days. Just keep calm, if you get upset, he will. Sounds like he is already putting some 2 and 2's together.
